The Convergence of Streams –

Liturgy, Sacraments and the Living Community
A big chasm lies in the minds and hearts of people who claim to be Christian in so far as living out their Christianity. This has been exacerbated by self-centered millieu, which has infiltrated even the Christina Community with the contemporary thinking of “Me and God alone”. It has been intended that Christians would not only be recipients of God’s grace but also conduits.
The Community Life Group or CLG is the extension of the church to the larger community in order to lead people and draw them back to His kingdom. Having evolved from Bible Studies and Home Cell group, the CLG’s are composed mainly of members of the church who, in general, are grouped geographically. They gather regularly twice a month for fellowship, celebration or feasting. These gatherings provide the means through which the Sunday Homilies could be practically applied and put into action enabling them to share the life of Christ. In so doing, God’s grace abounds in every member causing encouragement, refreshing time and spiritual growth.
The CLGs are beginning to affect their respective communities reaching out not only our members but also to the neighborhood. As a result, spiritual and practical needs such as medical assistance, legal references, emotional and to some extent, financial are being met. The CLG likewise ministers to the needs of the church newcomers. They are introduced to the Liturgy - the main act of the church which is worship.
From the Mass to the mass (larger community) comes a challenge of becoming a visible community: “The Body of Christ” through which Christ’s mission continuous on. Currently, the Body of Christ is the only Christ that the world will witness.
