Q. How do I register?
A. There are separate Registration Forms depending on country of origin as follows:
1). For US, Canada, Asia, Brazil and Africa, please enter into the website www.cecmadrid.com/Registration.html
The Registration Form is there with the instructions for registration.
2). For Europe, please enter into the website

Q. How much is the Registration Fee?

Q. What is the cost of the hotel?
A. The official Conference hotel is Hotel Melia Castilla (5 stars). This hotel is highly recommended. For prices, please refer to the website:

Q. Is there a dress code for the Convocation?
A. Since the venue is the National Convention Center of Madrid, the recommended dress code for the Convocation is smart casuals.
Q. What are the things to bring?
A. July is summertime in Madrid. Please check out the weather. Remember to bring hats, fans, sun block, sunglasses and your medicines and your Health Insurance Card. It is advisable to get a travel insurance if you do not have one.
Q. Do children have separate activities? Do they pay? What are the age limits?
A. No initial activity planned for the children except that parents with children will be requested to stay at the Balcony area. However please visit our webpage on updates regarding the ministry for the children.

Q. What souvenirs can we buy?

Q. Where is the venue of the Convocation?
A. Palacio de Congresos (Convention Center) – address: Paseo de la Castellana, 99 (28046 Madrid)
Q. What are the public transport going to the venue?
Metro Station (Subway or Underground)
Line 10 (dark blue line) – “Santiago Bernabeu” Station. This is the closest metro, or;
Line 8 (pink line) – “Nuevos Ministerios” Station - 13 minute walk
Bus Lines: 14, 27, 40, 43 120, 126, 147, 150
Q. How many terminals are there in Barajas International Airport (Airport of Madrid)?
A. There are four (4) terminals. Terminals, 1, 2, 3, and 4. Depending on your airline company, you may be in one of those terminals. Please ask your Travel Agent in which terminal you arrive so you can tell your hotel accommodation if your hotel offer Transfer Service from airport to hotel. It is highly recommended to request for a transfer service when you make your hotel reservations.
Q. What about Transfer Service from airport to hotel and vice versa?
A. It is recommendable to request for this service when you make your hotel reservation. This will be most convenient for you. Depending on your travel agent’s contract with your hotel of choice, they may or may not charge an additional fee for the transfer.
Q. Who needs a visa coming to Spain?
A. Depending on your nationality, you might need a visa for coming to Spain VISA is required by all except the following:
(a) nationals of EU countries, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland regardless of purpose and/or length of stay;
(b) Non-EU citizens visiting Spain :need a visa (visado) in order to enter and visit Spain, unless there exists a special agreement between Spain and your home country; these countries are those of North & South America in addition to: Australia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Gibraltar, Grenada, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia and Switzerland. If you are one of these nationalities, you can enter Spain without a visa and stay for up to 90 days in any 6-month period.
(c) nationals of Andorra, Anguilla, Argentina, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cayman Islands, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Falkland Islands, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (SAR), Israel, Korea (Rep), Liechtenstein, Macau (SAR), Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Montserrat, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, St Helena, San Marino, Singapore, Turks & Caicos Islands, Uruguay, Vatican City and Venezuela for stays of up to 90 days;
(d) holders of travel documents issued by the Geneva convention of July 1951, by Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK for stays of up to 90 days. Please note that British passports that do not have “European community” on the front page require a visa.
Q. Where do I apply for a Visa?
A. From the Spanish General Consulate in your city, region/country.
